Zero Energy Home Plans

Beautiful Homes, 100% Off the Grid

One of the challenges to building high performance and zero energy homes is finding suitable plans, designed with a high level of energy performance in mind. Below we offer photos and links to two excellent home designers, a modular company and a plan service so you can see just a few of the Zero Energy Homes that we can build for you. Remember that while "Zero Energy" implies the use if solar PV panels, these homes are designed for very low energy use and are an excellent value without the solar panels.

“We love this house! Thermally, it works very, very well. It gets easier to heat every year and is always quite cool in the summer.”

Did You Know?

Moisture diffusion through the wall vs air leakage: Over one heating season, 1/3 of a quart of water can be collected by diffusion through a 4x8 sheet of drywall; 30 quarts of water can be collected through 1 square inch of air leakage.
